What makes you a great fit

6+ years of strong commercial experience in Python Backend development, with a proven Senior-level track record
2+ years of hands-on experience with Flask
Strong experience designing and developing complex backend systems and business logic
Strong expertise in SQL databases, including database design and optimization
Hands-on experience with Redis in production environments
Solid experience with AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, scalability, and backend system design
Experience with AI-related solutions in Python — such as working with AI/ML models, model wrappers, agents, or integrating AI capabilities into backend systems
Strong system design and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently tackle complex technical challenges
Ability to take full ownership of backend solutions, make technical decisions independently, and work with minimal supervision
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of responsibility and autonomy
Upper-Intermediate English or higher

Your day-to-day in this position

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Python and Flask
Work on complex business logic and build reliable solutions for challenging backend problems
Take ownership of backend components from technical design to implementation and further optimization
Make independent technical and architectural decisions and contribute to the overall backend architecture
Design and optimize SQL databases, including data models, queries, and performance
Work with Redis for caching and other production use cases
Build and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS services
Develop and integrate AI-powered functionality using Python, including working with AI/ML models, model wrappers, and agents
Collaborate with other engineers to design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable systems
Identify technical bottlenecks and proactively improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
Participate in system design discussions and technical decision-making
Take responsibility for delivering backend solutions in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
