What makes you a great fit

  • 4+ years in DataOps, DevOps, or Platform Engineering with a clear focus on data platform environments
  • Hands-on IaC experience - Terraform strongly preferred
  • CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
  • Cloud experience across at least one major provider with working knowledge of a second (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or managed equivalents)
  • Familiarity with data pipeline monitoring and observability tools (Monte Carlo, Datafold, Great Expectations, or custom solutions)
  • Strong automation mindset - Python and/or Bash scripting for operational tooling
  • Agile delivery experience across Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Proficiency with AI development tools - with genuine appreciation for how AI tooling can reduce operational toil
  • Upper-intermediate level of English

Will be a plus:

  • FinOps experience - cloud cost governance and cross-provider optimization
  • Experience integrating data quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Soda) directly into CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with data security and compliance requirements in regulated industries
  • Experience building internal developer portals or self-service data platform tooling
  • Multi-cloud operational experience - managing environments across two or more providers simultaneously

Your day-to-day in this position

  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for all data platform components across multi-cloud environments
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for dev, staging, and production data platform environments
  • Build and maintain data observability and monitoring solutions - pipeline health, data freshness, SLA tracking, and alerting
  • Manage containerized workload deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, or managed cloud equivalents)
  • Implement secrets management, access control, and cloud cost monitoring practices
  • Identify and eliminate manual toil across the team - building self-service tooling, automation scripts, and reusable operational components
  • Implement automated data quality gates within CI/CD flows, integrating with the Analytics Engineer's transformation pipelines
  • Create and maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and incident response playbooks
  • Actively use AI coding assistants to generate automation scripts, IaC modules, and monitoring configurations - reducing time-to-production on operational tooling
